YULE 2020

Yule trees shine on silent streets,

Within ourselves this year we have to find

The Holy Presence of the Yuletide.

For some that presence is found in a virgin birth,

For others it’s found through Saturnalian mirth –

It’s really about the return of the Sun/Son,

The Divine Child, the Light of the Soul,

The Holy Spirit born in Everyone.

The confluence of Pagan and Christian paths

comes at the time of the light returning –

they never needed to be separate, that idea was daft

no need for all those hangings, drownings and burnings.

Religion was hijacked by men of commerce and war

It’s rarely served the real needs of the humble and poor.

For centuries the people remembered the Goddess and the Faerie Folk

But in the industrial age these were forgotten, became treated as a joke.

Now the world is burning and humanity looks doomed

But the powers of the Goddess and the Faerie are due a return soon.

The cycle of the seasons and the holy path of Self discovery

meet together in the Yuletide when the returning light is praised:

this year more powerful than ever

as we step a bit deeper into

the Aquarian Age.

This is a good point of the year for releasing pain, guilt and fear:

Forgiveness Is Irresistible when you realise how near

to heaven it can bring us;

so dropping all the bother and fuss,

renewing bonds of faith and trust

at this time of good fortune is the opportunity given to us.

Christians praise the baby Jesus under their pagan Christmas tree,

we bedeck our homes with holly and kiss under the Druid’s mistletoe,

we give each other presents and usually our presence too –

when there’s harmony and love a blessed spirit comes on through.

Even when not together we’re connected if hearts are true.
