to Connection, Emotion, Devotion

and Pleasure must occasionally make way

for the many feelings it sets in motion.

Pleasure opens up our Hearts

Lets in the Light,

which illuminates the parts

of us hidden in the shadows:

so after Pleasure comes the chance

to turn within, take care of those.

Sadness, guilt, regret, shame

all arise at times in life’s great game:

these shadows are normal

we are not to blame.

with which we can bathe our wounds,
