from the delusion of the personal
and romantic fantasies
for in THE AGE OF AQUARIUS
everyone will eventually see
there is no separation
and we are all the incarnation
of the eternal conscious exploring expanding
infinite imaginative creative diverse and divine
spirit of CREATION.
We’ve been waiting a long time
since people first began to see the signs
that the story put in place after world war devastation,
a story of economic growth and neo-liberalisation,
was just not living up to its expectations,
that in fact there is another level
to this experience we’re having called living
a level that is only reached
by being compassionate and forgiving….
it’s love that reveals life is a unity
that lifts us above conflict and creates community
but while humans are stuck in games of divide and conquer
of defending the walls against the foreigner
we’re blind to the potential in our souls
we forget that we came here to be whole
to enter through the gate of cosmic Oneness
and realise the truth of why we are Us.
We’ve waited six decades for a contagion of bliss
to slowly build and bubble and hiss
meanwhile the tales of fear, war, terror and hate
play out, persist and dominate –
the awakening to love has had to wait
until humanity hit its darkest hour
but let’s remember that in the deep darkness
there lies the greatest power.
The Shadow is strong, Ignorance rules:
Humanity led by donkeys and fools –
led by beliefs that separate and divide,
humanity ignorant to the wisdom inside
our own hearts and minds.
Led to believe money, status and fame
are the highest goals in life’s game
led to believe there’s always
someone else to blame.
The 60s brought revolutions
psychedelic and sexual
but the issue in our society
is something quite conceptual.
Our cosmology is in flux –
what is the cause of us?
Are we biological? Or spiritual?
Are we starlight or stardust?
What do we believe in? What is belief?
Work keeps us engaged,
media keeps us entertained
but the fact is our souls
have been thoroughly betrayed.
There’s a lineage mystical,
artistic and theatrical
that’s been sidelined in the
domination of the material.
A heritage magical,
emotional, waiting to replace
the dogmatic and devotional
religious roots to salvation,
to provide a simpler route to elevation
by entertaining the notion
that the real aim of our devotions
is to realise the One
complete what was begun –
the journey back to Source
get humanity on course
for the ultimate revelation
and the inner unification
opening the gates
to the divine and cosmic future
of the human race.
A wave of relief, a surge in belief, a radical shift, a tsunami of bliss:
the return of magic, of the magical ones
signs and wonders, a new era begun.
Rising out of the murky Piscean waters
into the light of Aquarian sunshine,
compassion the key to human destiny
as we discover what it means to be free…
free of fear that the end is near
free to create our own way in life
free to love whomever we choose
free to experiment with and use
substances that unlock the mysteries
in the heart and mind:
free to share and celebrate
the amazing things we find.
Reincarnation will be all the rage
once we turn the Aquarian page.
